About Marcus
Marcus Brecheen is a seasoned pastor, visionary leader, consultant and coach, and a dedicated husband. A multifaceted individual with a diverse background that encompasses both business and ministry, Marcus has excelled in a variety of fields with a strong educational background and a deep commitment to his faith.
He and his beautiful wife, Lexa, have been married for thirty-one years and have raised five incredible young adults. Marcus’ life has been marked by purpose and achievement. He studied business in college and earned a degree in finance and then an MBA, honing his strategic thinking and leadership abilities.
He began his career leveraging his financial acumen to specialize in negotiating contracts. With a natural talent for understanding complex agreements and a meticulous attention to detail, he also became interested in studying faith and ministry while serving at his local church. He attended seminary and earned a master’s degree in theology while serving in the college ministry at his local church. The years in seminary were marked by a profound sense of seeking a deeper understanding of principles that guide human existence and joy, and how God is involved in these processes. He also developed a strong sense of empathy and compassion, qualities that would later become hallmarks of his leadership style.
Having successfully balanced his business and ministry pursuits, Marcus found his calling as a Senior Pastor. Drawing on his diverse background, he brought a unique perspective to his role as a pastor, connecting with people, offering guidance, and helping them grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Marcus has been involved in Next Level Leadership cohorts and continues to grow with an insatiable desire to learn and improve in his own life. Marcus and Lexa now own a leadership coaching and consulting practice in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They are excited to serve God through marriage ministry, coaching executive teams, individual coaching and consulting, and serving pastors in local churches. In his spare time, Marcus enjoys staying fit, working out, playing golf, and reading.
